May the 4th be with you (etc)

It’s Star Wars Day, that once-a-year occasion when the calendar aligns to offer the best jokes from a Galaxy Far, Far Away. How it started is probably worthy of a film in its own right, but Twitter certainly amplified it.

Star Wars (as it was then) was the first film I saw at the cinema and has remained one of my favourite films. I don’t watch it often, and while George Lucas has played with it over the years, the original version remains my favourite.

Anyways, as it is May the 4th I figured I get my camera out and a couple of the toys collected over the years. Sadly my collection of Star Wars figures never survived my brother selling them.

Slave 1: Boba Fett’s vehicle of choice and still one of the coolest vehicles in Science Fiction.
The Millennium Falcon - Fastest hunk of junk in the Star Wars galaxy

And finally, a homage to George Lucas and his complete inability to leave anything alone. A new scene for the Cantina on Tatooine….
